Exhibitions
This is documentation of physical shows I've been in. I'm also including things like performances and screenings, and some 'digital events' but everything without a physical presence is over in Games. This isn't a complete list, as I've not included things where theres no documentation, if you feel you need to catch them all, then check the CV.
2025
- "Sha La La" performance at Raven Row. No documentation of this event is available but I rerecorded part of the performance here.
- "If One of Those Dots Stopped Moving Forever" is a public moving image commision for Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival
- "AA2A WIP" was small exhibition as part of a residency and I made this collage with a fired glass frame.
2024
- "Doppelgänger Rooms" Periphery Space, Gorey, County Wexford. (Collaborative project w/ artist Olivia Normile).
- "Taking up Space" Centre on Contemporary Art, Seatle. (group exhibition). I showed a bunch of animated gifs. This show also had a catalogue which is available here
- "Peasants Revolt Now!" Prayer Room, Birmingham. (Group exhibition).
2023
- "EARTH AD 2" FACT, Liverpool. (Solo exhibition). You can play the webgame 'low estate' and the live burial sim from inside the show over at Games. There's a few reviews and interviews for this show over at Writing
- "Take Care" Travelling Gallery, across Scotland. (Touring group exhibition). Travelling Gallery's documentation is here, and 'Animal Agency' the game I presented is available to play over at Games
- "Joy of Destruction" Backlit, Nottingham. (Group exhibition). Backlit's documentation is here, and 'The Fall Labs' the game I presented is available to play over at Games
- "Out of Scale" Transmediale, Berlin. (Group exhibition). Transmediale's documentation is here.
2022
- "Allied Editions" Frieze Art Fair, London. (Art Fair). The edition is still available for sale here.
- "Hinterland" Baltic, Gateshead. (Group exhibition). Baltic's documentation is here. The video about my work is here, and the game itself, 'Take The Moonlight by The Tail' is over in Games
- "EARTH AD 1" Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge. (Solo exhibition). You can play the webgame 'Wetlands Archive' and the live burial sim from inside the show over at Games. There's also a zine here
- "How to Practise Grieving in Eight Movements" Klosterruine, Berlin. (Group exhibition). Klosterruine's documentation is here.
2021
- "Animal Agency" 17th Athens Digital Art Festival, Athens. (Festival). The festival archive page is here. Animal Agency took second prize at the festival, and you can find the game itself is over in Games
- "OpenScreen" Arebyte, London. (Digital commission). The gallery archive page is here, and you can play the game 'Take The Moonlight by The Tail' over at Games
- "Net//Work" British Council / Wysing Arts Centre, UK. (Digital commission). Some of the public events are archived here, and you can play the game 'Lich Way Party Train' itself over at Games
- "RHIZODOME" GWENBA.com. (Digital commission). Archived here.
- "Unfolding Shrines" Shape, London. (Augmented reality group exhibition). This app based exhibition included all the artists shortlisted for the Adam Reynolds Award and is archived here , and you can play the game 'Mansions of Mist' itself over at Games
- "Post Doom" Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart. (Digital group exhibition). This web residency is archived here, my artwork 'The Endless Hallucinatory Love of the Riders at The Long Point of Death' is over in Games and my interview with Hedva while on the programme is here
2020
- "All Flesh is Grass" KIM? Contemporary Art Centre, Riga. (Collaborative exhibition and role playing game). 2018
- "PaperWork : iilwimi lipsing" SERF, Leeds. (Performance event with Carl Gent, Alison Ballance, and Halima Haruna), the publication (oop) is here. My piece 'Axpansion', a kind of TTRPG for people that hate reality, is available over in Writing.
- "Its Origins are Indeterminate" Whitechapel Gallery, London. (Screening and performance event), the information archive is here. My performance "Frolic in Brine", a lecture on gesture in Deleuze and the film Ringu wound up in my PhD is over in Writing.
- "Polymorph Other" IMT, London. (Group exhibition). My film, "TFW: The Formless Wastes", a machina Resident Evil / Warhammer 40k fanfic made in RPG Maker, is viewable here
2017
- "Janusware (Cycles 1 & 2)" Res. London. (Solo performance event and group exhibtion with Dean Kenning, Rachel McRae and Nicola Woodham). Cycle 1 the performance event is archived here. Cycle 2 the group exhibition is archived here.
- "Creature of Havoc" SERF, Leeds. (Solo performance event).
2016
- "Green Fuzz" Xero, Kline & Coma, London. (Collaborative exhibition with Alfie Strong). A very crude multi-channel video ran though the space with 3 overlapping monologues read from the point of view of three andoids borrowed from science fiction film and tv. One of those videos is playable here
- "It's All Tropical Presents: Blind Date" The Royal Standard, Liverpool. (Group exhibition of collaboartive duos with Uma Breakdown / Caitlin Merrett King / Josef Jackson / Lindsey Mendick / Millington/Marriott / Alfie Strong.
